Where are you from/where do you live?

Liverpool

What type of a chef are you?

Head Chef

Do you have a favourite type of cuisine?

“I would describe my style as modern British - with small influences of classic French and Japanese flavouring throughout.”

How did you become a chef?

“I got into cooking from being brought up in a household of hospitality career-based family members. My mum is a waitress and my uncle is a chef so I was always in and out of restaurants and kitchens when I was young. Then later on, my dad had a big impact on me. We travelled on foodie trips to America and he also cooked at home, which got me into cooking even more.”

Where have you worked?

The Art School Restaurant, Liverpool; The Lawns Restaurant, Thornton Hall Hotel, Wirral; Kelp Liverpool.

What has been the highlight of your career to date?

“The highlight of my career is becoming a Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Semi-Finalist back in 2017.”

Why did you want to take part in MasterChef: The Professionals?

“I wanted a new challenge and to push myself on something. During the pandemic there were some low times in my life and career. I didn’t know where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do. But when I saw the application was open for MasterChef: The Professionals, I thought… I’ll put my name down.”
