Sous Chef

Do you have a favourite type of cuisine?

“My style of cooking is Scandinavian. I love to try different techniques such as fermenting and pickling. Over the last year I have fallen in love with cooking with fire, especially how you can bring the flavours together with a flame. I have also been learning more how to work with vegetables.”

How did you become a chef?

“My first choice for High School was not catering. However, after I did my first week in the restaurant kitchen, I fell in love with being a chef. I can’t see me doing anything else now. I love working in a team. You are never alone; you do everything together. You constantly get to meet new people, including the guests, who we make happy with our delicious food.”

What is the highlight of your career?

“The highlight of my career has to be that I am extremely proud about where I am today and everything I’ve done and learnt on my journey here. I’m always daring to try new challenges to learn and evolve all the time.”

Where have you worked?

Catering and Hospitality, High School (Falun, Sweden)
International Bar and Restaurant Management University (Halmstad, Sweden)
Head Chef training at The University of Gothenburg
Have worked and lived in the French Alps winter season
Have worked in Italy on a wine yard

Why did you want to take part in MasterChef: The Professionals?

“I entered the competition because I love challenges. I love to compete. I also love to push myself, and to cook my food for others.”
