GUSTO ITALIAN TO ADD CHARITY DONATION TO EVERY BILL IN DECEMBER AND JANUARY

All Gusto Italian restaurants will be adding £1 to every bill from 1st December - 31st January in aid of charity, Young Lives vs Cancer

Gusto Italian, the collection of 14 casual dining Italian restaurants situated across the UK, will be continuing its tradition of adding a voluntary £1 to every guest’s bill from 1st December - 31st January, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Young Lives vs Cancer, through the support of the Tim Bacon Foundation (TBF).

The Foundation’s aim is to support charities that help people to live well with cancer. In 2022, Young Lives vs Cancer was selected as Gusto’s first Charity of the Year by employee Jade Costello, who was a wonderful friend and valued member of the Gusto Italian family. Jade sadly died of cancer in June 2022. During her treatment, she met many people who were supported by Young Lives vs Cancer, and in her honour, Gusto continues to support this brilliant cause.

Gusto have shown a small donation can go a long way and have raised a tremendous total of £100,000. The money will help to support young people (aged 0-25) and their families who are battling with cancer. The charity's specialist social workers provide guidance for families from diagnosis through cancer treatment, and their eleven Home from Homes offer free accommodations near hospitals.

For guests who would like to support the foundation, the voluntary £1 donation will be added to the bill, and further details can be found through QR codes in the restaurants.

Luke Mallett, Director of Income and Engagement at Young Lives vs Cancer said: “We greatly appreciate all of the staff and guests at Gusto Italian for continuing their support for young people with cancer. We anticipate that the increase in donations throughout December and January will have a huge impact on all we can do for young people and their families.”
